Post 125 had it’s monthly meeting last night. Mark Reed (District Commander) installed our officers for 2021. Ronnie Chism (District Vice Commander) also attended and announced she was running for District Commander next year. District offices are for a 2 year term.
Other areas of discussion included “Grandma Mary’s Cookie Mission” (see explanation in projects tab of this website). Approval to check out costs for a Legion Preamble display and costs related to cleaning our flags.
Mike Cook presented a check for over $200 for items sold in our booth at Mike’s Unique Antiques and feels as his business picks up that the amount would be larger in the future.
Our membership was at 125% for FY 2020 and our goal for 100% for FY 2021 is 127 which should be very doable for us. We are now at 30 members paid for 2020 and expect to grow at least to 40 members by year’s end.
Our next meeting is scheduled for September 14, 2020 at 7:00 pm at Prehistoric Brewing Company. We hope to see all members that are able present then.
